Welcome

Türnitz is situated in a hight of 460 meters, in an austrian region with plenty of forests, at the Traisen river, in Niederösterreich.

Rooms

Our pension can be found at the centre of Türnitz, behind the town church. We have 10 double bed - rooms, and 2 appartements for 4 people each. Extra beds can be asked for.
Some rooms also have a balcony.

Every room has it's own WC and shower.

Leisure time

Winter
The ski season commences in early December and lasts until the end of March.
The ski slopes of Annaberg are the ski lovers’ paradise
Over 15mi of wide and sunny runs outfitted with snowmaking equipment are suitable for beginners and advanced skiers alike. You can use the sleigh run, ski school, rental centre, and jogging alleys. Also, you can skate or play ice bowling. Or choose from the wide assortment of restaurants and bars.
At Annaberg you can also find over 10mi of cross country ski trails.
The lift tickets are good at any of the resorts within a 15mi range, including Mariazell, Mitterbach, Lillienfeld , Niederalpe and Puchenstuben.

Spring flowers in full bloom can be admired during walks or bicycle trips. This is also the season of pilgrimage trips to Mariazell.

Summer
An ecologic swimming pool using chemical free, natural filters only was inaugurated in 2008. The water temperature is 72 – 78 F. The summer bob run (3000ft) opens May 1st.
The bottom of the hill showcases a natural lake with lots of refreshing activities.
Walks for all ages:
- Shorter, with rests at each 100 yards
- Kneipp treatment run with wood instruments needed, followed by cooling your feet in a mountain stream
- Fully outfitted natural caves with safety passes, suitable for kids as well
- Pilgrimage trips to Mariazell through the mountains along lakes and streams (guide provided for groups of at least 10 persons)
- Natural park with deer and elk
- Water mill
- Museums
- Tennis court, basket court and beach volleyball
- Bicycle rentals

Programs

Budapest is 350 kilometers, the highway A1 38 kilometers, and the ski slopes from Annaberg 8 kilometers away from Turnitz.
Families, pensioners and young people also find suitable programs for themselves.
