Welcome to SAN SIRO house, an ideal place should you be looking for a tranquil and relaxing holiday or a starting point from where to explore beautiful Tuscany – the land of history and culture.

Buildings & the garden

Our ancient farm house - equipped with all the conveniences modern technology can offer – and the hosting family is there to introduce you to every pleasant details of real country life in Tuscany.

The farm is out of traffic, accessible via a narrow paved road, which is used only by the locals. Olive trees and grapewines surround the house; in the poultry yard, next to the house, there are chicken, ducks, geese, pigeons, and rabbits. Forest begins but a few meters away – a kingdom of deer, pheasant, and fox. Should you look up to the sky, you may spot a hunting hawk or a falcon among the hundreds of chirping birds.

380 meters above sea-level guarantees a pleasant climate: summer is hot with a light breeze around, and the winters are mild. In the autumn, when there’s mist in the valley, this height offers a wonderful, sunlit panorama.

The buildings and the garden

The reception and a spacious dining room can be found on the first floor. On the second floor, there is a comfortable drawing room with a collection of
books in English, German, Italian and Hungarian, and a PC with 24 hours Internet access available. Due to the mild weather, you may spend pleasant hours out in the green, in our garden all around the year.

In the summertime, we serve breakfast (cold buffet with eggs and cheese) outside in the garden. Refresh yourself in the pool from springtime to autumn (15th May – 30th Sept.) or soak up the sun in our desk-chairs – and if you are looking for an active way of recreation, use the equipment in our small, outdoor fitness room under the shady trees.

If you live in the city, it will be an interesting experience to your children to get acquainted with domesticity. Our animals live in a free, railed off
territory under the olive trees. The sight of little chicks scratching about, ducks splashing, and bunnies champing the hay is one that might be studied
for hours. Your hosts live in an annex that stands in the well-groomed garden. For the cars, there is a railed off parking space at the end of the garden.

Apartments, services

The bedrooms and apartments can be found in the main building. Apartman ’Vallombrosa’ is situated on the Eastern side of the house. With a beautiful view of the mountains, it consists of a large bedroom, a hall (in which there is a table for six and a comfortable couch), a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. On the Western side, there are two large bedrooms and one bathroom shared by them.

Every single room is equipped with colour SAT TV. Bed linen, towels and kitchen cloths are free of charge. Extra bed is available in each room.

APPROACH

Exit Highway A1 (Bologna-Rome) after Florence in “Incisa” and drive on to “REGGELLO.” Once arrived to “CASCIA”, turn to the left by the first crossroads. Turn again when you see the sign “SAN SIRO”, and drive on approx.
3 kilometres on the narrow service road until you catch sight of the “SAN SIRO HOUSE” sign.
