The exclusive three-star Hotel Magita*** with sleeping capacity of 55 people, is located on the main square of a cooper village, Erdőbénye, hiding in the heart of Tokaj-Hegyalja.The cosy, partly air-conditioned rooms have independent bathrooms,TV set, telephone, Internet connection and minibar.

In our familiar restaurant that holds 50 seats besides the delicacies of the traditional Hungarian kitchen we offer our guests local dishes of Erdőbénye, several specialaties connected with the Tokay wines and according to the season. The delicious dishes composed and made of game resp. of goat and sheep meat and cheese, bred in the reservation nearby, represent a rarity. The stately terrace belonging to the restaurant that holds 40 seats and can be heated is a nice scene of grill dinners with live music in pleasant summer nights. The Hotel Magita*** has got its own wine cellar, too. In this cellar besides the ,,king of the wines” several necatrs of the region are served. We often organise wine tastings and wine presentations of the assortments of several wine cellars in Tokaj-Hegyalja both for friendly companies and corporate groups.
SPA
In our hotel an outdoor bubble-bath swimming pool, a sauna, a Jacuzzi, a solarium and a bowling alley make for the recreation of our guests. The region around here is an excellent place of excursion. You can find there the blue-tour track as well. Those who prefer angling, horse-riding or mountain-biking will enjoy themselves, too. Erdőbénye is located in the so-called “Mély-patak” valley (Deep-creek valley), in a basin between the Tolcsva-Hill and the Mulató-Hill, in an extraordinary beautiful environment. The township is already mentioned in a written document originating from the beginning of the 15th century. Its speciality is that there is a 3,5 kilometre long cellar system under the village, therefore nearly the whole township can be mapped under the surface as well. Making such a tour through the cellar system it is very interesting to be able to allocate the street or house under that we are standing.
It is a curiosity as well, that the oldest vine-leaf imprint in the world can be found at Erdőbénye. By certain estimations it is 11 million years old. Its history of art is also particularly rich and has got numerous interesting data. Here you can admire the baroque Budaházi Fekete-mansion from the 17th century, the late-baroque Szirmay-mansion (today reformed rest home) from the 18th century, the medieval roman catholic church Szent György, the reformed church in the style of the age of Louis XVI from the 17th century, and the so called “cholera post”, an obelisk erected in remembrance of the victims of the cholera epidemic 1831.
